OBAMA–THE SECOND COMING OF JIMMY CARTER?
Der Spiegel asks “Will Obama be the Jimmy Carter of the 21st century? in a quote from the Berliner Zeitung, a left leaning newspaper in Berlin, Germany. Several German newspaper’s reactions to Obama’s Oval Office prime time address are quoted in this article. None are positive.
No wonder. Obama’s address to the nation and the world was full of typical Obama platitudes and idealistic comments without substance–no specific goals or time tables just hifalutin idealism.
And now the British Daily Telegraph speculates that Rahm Emmanuel, perhaps the most pragmatic of White House insiders, is disappointed with Obama’s idealism and will be leaving soon. When two idealogues clash, one walks. And if that happens it means we will hear more teleprompter assisted beautifully phrased idealistic chatter without substance a la the one term Jimmy Carter.

Thank you for posting this Jimmy. I hope that so many stories echo this sentiment that the President will never be able to disguise this very accurate branding. Despite how much money he will spend in 2012 towards that goal.
