Breaking News: Republican Senate Campaigns in Kittitas County

July 3rd, 2010 by Jimmie Applegate

Dino Rossi called Paul Sander at 4:45 this afternoon and asked him to serve as Kittitas County Chairman for the Dino Rossi for Senator Campaign.  Paul accepted that exciting responsibility.

Andy Johnson just told me he is Kittitas County Temporary Chairman for the Clint Didier for Senator Campaign.  Andy has been serving in this role for some time.

Congratulations and best of luck to Paul and Andy as they enhance the continuing Republican Resurgence in Kittitas County and Washington State  that will unseat Patty Murray.

OBAMA–THE SECOND COMING OF JIMMY CARTER?

June 22nd, 2010 by Jimmie Applegate

Der Spiegel asks “Will Obama be the Jimmy Carter of the 21st century? in a quote from the Berliner Zeitung, a left leaning newspaper in Berlin, Germany.  Several German newspaper’s reactions to Obama’s Oval Office prime time address are quoted in this article.  None are positive.

No wonder.  Obama’s address to the nation and the world was full of typical Obama platitudes and idealistic comments without substance–no specific goals or time tables just hifalutin idealism.

And now the British Daily Telegraph speculates that Rahm Emmanuel, perhaps the most pragmatic of White House insiders, is disappointed with Obama’s idealism and will be leaving soon.  When two idealogues clash, one walks.  And if that happens it  means we will hear more teleprompter assisted beautifully phrased idealistic chatter without substance a la the one term Jimmy Carter.

US GOVERNMENT ACKNOWLEDGES LOSS OF CONTROL OVER SOVEREIGN SOIL

June 18th, 2010 by Jimmie Applegate

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

I never expected to see the day when the US Government would cede control of sovereign US soil to illegal aliens.   You know things are out of control when a local sheriff states publicly that he has no control of a section of American soil that abuts  the Arizona-Mexican border.  To reinforce the sheriff’s loss of control an agency of the US government has prohibited American citizens from visiting a US Park because of the danger from Mexican criminal gangs operating on American soil.

The Mexican government handles the illegal  alien problem in Mexico harshly but effectively while President Obama puts up with criticism of the United States by Mexico’s president on the floor of the US Congress.

To top it off, we now hear Secretary Clinton announces in Ecuador that President Obama will sue the sovereign state of Arizona for acting to enforce the laws of the United States.  Apparently no one at the federal level is sensitive enough to protocol to inform Arizona’s Governor Brewer before releasing the proposed action in a foreign country.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

OVERTURN ARIZONA LAW

June 7th, 2010 by Jimmie Applegate

“OMG, what do I do now?”  Obama requests Arizona law approved by Napolitano be overturned.

Census counts Illegal Aliens

June 4th, 2010 by Jimmie Applegate

Some 12M illegal aliens, including those housed in deportation centers awaiting deportation today, tomorrow or next week, will be counted in the 2010 census. I understand the financial reasons given for doing so. Nevertheless I find the action classic bureaucratic inept foolishness that could, and should, be eliminated if the federal immigration laws in the US Code, Title 8, Chapter 12 were enforced. A majority of Americans feel that way contrary to the beliefs and actions of the Obama administration and the Democratic majority in Congress.
Obama’s hopes of joining the Democratic pantheon of Gods like FDR and JFK are being dashed upon the shoals of reality. So much for “hope” and “change”. Could it be that reality is Enemy No.1 of audacious imagination?

REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES VS PATTY MURRAY

June 2nd, 2010 by Jimmie Applegate

Interesting recent poll data analysis showing the successes of Republican candidates in the primary and general elections. Information can be used in future strategy sessions. The scenarios in this analysis show clearly that the election results have the potential to be influenced by the big hearted actions of some big men.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Numbers are misleading.  Sometimes it takes the rest of the story to make sense of what is reported.  Here is the rest of the story to separate the wheat from the chaff.
